Manon Fontaine and her “heart” horse BHB Wimpys Starlord had a great time in Ardmore for the SWRHA Futurity and Show. Earlier in the week the pair won the first slate of the ancillary Limited Open and took second in the Intermediate Open.
They closed out the show with another solid run to secure the highpoint championship for both classes.
BHB Wimpys Starlord is by BHB Mr Wimpys Royal and out of BHB Katberry Stargun. Manon and her mother, Valerie, raised the colt. “He’s a special horse for me. I have seen him grow up. I started him, and then he had other training his two and three-year-old year, and then I got him back,” she explained. “I love him so much.”
Fontaine works with Mathieu Buton and had BHB Wimpys Starlord shipped over from France earlier this year. She’s looking forward to showing him in derby competition in 2023. “I thank my parents, Mathieu Buton and the whole team, and of course my horse,” she said.
