Sporting voluminous hair, a fake cigarette and a sassy attitude, Kynley Rey Bell and Snap N Go brought home the championship in the Youth 11-18 division of the inaugural SWRHA Freestyle Reining competition dubbed the ‘Frankenstyle.’
Bell rode to the 1950’s Grease song “You’re The One That I Want,” swinging her jacket at the judges as she rode past.
“I picked it because it’s the fun song at the end [of the movie],” Bell said. “I made up half of it and I practiced it at home. It was fun, I would do it again. I have always wanted to do freestyle.”
She and Snap N Go (Master Snapper x Miss Jerry Cat) scored a 217.5. Next time, Bell hopes to clean up her stops and improve timing.
“I want to thank my mom and my dad,” Bell said.
