Rookie Level 1 and 2 Highpoint – Lynnette Payne and Dun Lost My Gun

Posted on October 30, 2022December 30, 2022 by Stevie White

Lynette Payne’s consistency paid off for she and Dun Lost My Gun in the Rookie, bringing home highpoints in the Rookie Level 1 and Level 2.

“Dun Lost My Gun is a horse I lease from Mike Hancock, and I’ve been leasing him this year and having a great time with him,” Payne explained. “He’s really honest and such a sweetheart. He goes in and tries really hard every time for me and if there is anything that goes wrong it’s my fault, not his.”

Dun Lost My Gun is sired by Spooks Gotta Gun and out of Spring Dun It. Payne says her favorite maneuver on him is his spins, but thinks it will change to his stops once she learns to master sitting them.

“I want to thank Barbra Williams my trainer, my fiancé Jim, my family, and Mike Hancock for letting me lease such a cool horse,” she said.
