The Outta Dough Masters Non Pro has become a staple on Friday night at the SWRHA Futurity, celebrating the more seasoned riders at the event. Outta Dough’s owner, and Masters Non Pro competitor Dorothy Queen, was on-hand to help present the large stash of awards, including a gift certificate for a Bob’s Custom Saddle.
Anita Horn and trusty gelding Rambowhizz rode to a score of 218 to top the leaderboard of the Outta Dough Masters Non Pro, bringing home the championship title and plenty of loot.
“Trevor [Dare] prepared me. We’ve been working on some maneuvers that have been difficult for me. He’s done a great job coaching me, and he always tells me to take my time and go in and have fun. I did have fun today,” Horn said.
Rambowhizz is a five-year-old sired by Spooks Gotta Whiz and out of Rose Electric Step. Aside from winning the Masters with Horn tonight, he arguably played an even bigger role toting Trevor and Laura Dare’s toddler Cavin around in the lead line costume class.
“I would like to thank my husband, Trevor and Laura Dare, and all of their crew. They’re the best support system. And my three daughters, they hold down the fort while I’m gone,” Horn concluded.
