Rookie Professional [1] Co-Champion – CCR Smart Chic and Adam Miller

Posted on October 28, 2022December 30, 2022 by Stevie White

CCR Smart Chic and Adam Miller have been putting the pieces together for the last two years, and have started to see success together. Scoring a 72.5, the pair earned $122 and the SWRHA Futurity Rookie Professional Co-Championship.

“I will have had her two years in November,” Miller said. “She wasn’t the most talented horse in the world by she always had a lot of try. To improve we try to focus on the little details of the maneuvers and not so much the maneuvers themselves.”

According to Miller, CCR Smart Chic has improved the most in her stops, going from “not a real big stopper” to plus-halfing her stops.

“Thursday I was trying to her and me a little more consistent to go to the derbies next year,” Miller said.

CCR Smart Chic is sired by Smart And Shiney and out of Smart Peppy Magnolia. She’s owned by Lisa and Mark Doering.
