Thanks to Premier Equine Veterinary Services/Rancho Sereno and Toyon Ranch
The Southwest Reining Horse Association Futurity has long been the show that offers something for everyone. From events like the $133,500-added Futurity to ancillary Ride and Slide classes to the Rein In Cancer Dog Races, the little show at the Hardy Murphy Coliseum in Ardmore, Okla. has an array of activities and benefits. Prior to 2020, there had been a $1,000 Mare Bonus awarded to the highest scoring mare in the Open Futurity, but continuing into 2021, both the highest scoring mares in the Open and in the Non Pro will be rewarded!
Premier Equine Veterinary Services and Rancho Sereno have been longtime sponsors of the Mare Bonus, and this year, they have returned to provide the highest scoring Non Pro Futurity mare with a $1,500 bonus.
Lisa Maberry who owns Rancho Sereno with her husband Mike, said “Since my first reiner 20 years ago was a mare, the basis of our breeding program has been our mares. We love their intelligence and their
heart and wanted to support the mares and the people who show them.” She continued with, “We are
so grateful to live in an area with such talented horsemen and women. And fortunate that our local futurity has the top open horses and riders in the world.”
Rancho Sereno is located in the heart of horse country between Whitesboro and Callisburg, Texas. The
165-acre ranch emphasizes its superb broodmare band and focuses its breeding program on producing
