The Bell family has a successful SWRHA Futurity and horse show, and Joetta Bell finished the event with a bang. She claimed the highpoint buckles for the Intermediate and Limited Non Pro ancillary classes, tied for the win of the second slate of Non Pro, and took sole possession of the top spot in the Limited Non Pro.
Her partner for the feat was Dream On Whiz, a five-year-old by Magnum Chic Dream out of Ms Sassy Whiz, that she and her family purchased in August. “We got him right before The Run For A Million. We had another horse we were going to take, but that one got hurt. It was just God’s way of putting him in our lives,” she explained. “He’s the coolest minded horse, and the most honest show horse I’ve ever had across any disciplines.”
Bell hopes to take Dream On Whiz to some derby events next year, including the National Reining Breeders Classic, to see how they do. Then she said she might hand the reins over to her daughter, Trinity. “I thank Josh Tishman, and the whole Casey Deary clan. They’re just the best, ever. Without all of them, I don’t know how I would get through this, because with the kids showing too, it’s a lot,” she said.
