Theresa Roller came to play Saturday morning at the SWRHA Futurity in the second slate of the Green Reiner Prime Time, marking a 70.5 and bringing home the championship on Surprized.
“He’s a really good horse. I’ve had him now for about a year,” Roller said. “I used to be afraid of run downs on my last horse. I never knew how I was going to end up when I got down there. And I just love run downs with him. He does such a good job for me.”
Surprized, known as “Cheeseburger” for his full figure, is sired by Hang Ten Surprize and out of Snow White Dun It.
“I just showed today – I unfortunately had to work yesterday. But we went in, our spins were a little on the slower side but we got through them and they were correct. We were just working on pattern placement, staying on pattern, and he’s a big stopper so I think that’s where we get our points,” Roller explained.
On her list to thank was trainer Luke Gagnon and husband for his continual support.
