Kelsey Flessner might be buying dinner for the Tremblay crew tonight with a Non Pro [1] Co-Championship, Intermediate Non Pro [1], and Limited Championship [1] Thursday afternoon, winning $1,533.
“We wanted to have a nice, easy go and it turned out a little better than we expected,” Flessner said. “We’re going to show at the AQHA World Show here in a week or two so I just wanted to have a nice full run on her.”
According to Flessner, Chics Guna Dream or “Demi” is so attuned to the program now that Dany Tremblay’s advice for Flessner is to “Just go do your thing.”
“We got her just after this show last year. My first show with her was the ancillary classes at the [NRHA] Futurity in a huge rookie class. We did pretty good, and she’s gained on me all year. She’s made finals in all the levels at the NRBC, the Derby and to top it all off we won the Rookie at The Run For A Million,” Flessner said.
Sired by Magnum Chic Dream and out of Gun Whiz It, Chics Guna Dream marked a 73.5 for the victory.
“Dany has a great program for non pros. They spend a lot of time with us, they have a great time with lots of assistants and lots of help. It really helps that everybody is there to help you pack, prepare, saddle, unsaddle, give tips, cheer, coaching,” Flessner said.
