2016-10-11
Southwest Reining Horse Association Futurity officials announced in late September that Nutrena has come on board to sponsor the annual Open Futurity Draw Party.

The Nutrena Draw Party is slated for Thursday, October 27 at the Hardy Murphy Coliseum and is free to everyone. The evening features a wine and cheese bar, beer and soft drinks, and dinner will be sponsored by Ardmore's popular Red Dirt Brew House. Along with the live draw for finals positions there will be door prizes and other special activities, including the Halloween Dog Costume Parade benefiting Rein In Cancer. The best-costumed dog and runner-up will receive special gift baskets.

Show Manager Cheryl Magoteaux Cody noted, "We appreciate the team members at Nutrena for their commitment to and support of the reining industry. Everyone at the Southwest Reining Horse Association Futurity enjoys this party and it is always heavily attended."

Equine Team Consultant Kirk Carter was glad to increase Nutrena's support at the show. "NutrenaŽ is pleased to be the 2016 corporate sponsor for the Southwest Reining Horse Association Draw Party.

According to Cody, "The local Nutrena Equine Team will be at the draw party and available for consultation and appoints if desired. Along with Kirk we will welcome Gus Duncan, Nutrena Consultant for Oklahoma and Kirk Chilson, Nutrena Consultant for North Texas."

In 2013 Cargill purchased Progressive Nutrition and partnered it with their Nutrena Brand. NutrenaŽ provides SafeChoiceŽ and ProForceŽBrand that are offered in both pelleted and textured feeds designed to provide appropriate energy levels for controlled starches, cool calorie fat sources, and amino acids. Prebiotics and probiotics are added to help maintain the GI tract, and shredded beet pulp increases fiber and digestion. There are also corn-free and cereal grain-free options available."
